Furry me pink

Two things that I am fairly vocal on style wise are pink tones and furry pieces (prime examples in this post talking about vintage fur shopping, this post on mixing fur and leather and of course this one on how to style a statement fur.) Pairing them together is next level. This season I’m all about the pink statement furs. There is no real right or wrong way to wear a whimsical fur like these pinks ones that are taking up prime but worth it real-estate in my West Village apartment. For me I try to pair them with pieces that let the fur own the show but the real reason why you should invest (or at the very least snag this one from Forever21 at $58) is they take you seamlessly from day to evening.

Keep reading below to see how I styled each one and where I found each of these gems!

Glam it up: Date night done right. I added this pink faux fur beauty over my Realisation Par starry night dress to make my favorite warmer weather LBD cold weather appropriate. Over the knee black boots were essential. Faux fur babe was scooped up in Dallas at Unique Samples, a sample sale in Dallas that is only open four times a year. Go. Now. It opens on November 19th.

Night out: Casual glam … rockstar jeans, super soft tee, statement making pink fur bomber jacket and practical heeled mules. The formula is no fail every single time. Basically just pairing together each of my favorite pieces to create one look that I know I can wear to a client meeting (thankfully I work with fashion savvy clients in a creative industry) to a jazz club and a late night dinner.

Straight up casual street styling’ : This Giambi sherbet fur crop number was a steal from Rent the Runway. For those of you who don’t want to drop a few grand on a fur or a statement piece and are looking for less commitment the unlimited rentals from RTR is definitely the way to go. I’ve been wearing this Giambi fur with jeans (living in these $78 highwaisted suckers!), leather pants and even with a mini dress for my birthday dinner. Not having to drop $1,200 on it was possibly the cherry on top.
