Bachelorette Party Weekend Packing Guide

Once you’ve hit more than say 10 bachelorette parties you are a certified expert on not only putting a great weekend together for one of your closest gals but efficiently packing for the festivities as well. As I always do on trips whether they are long or short I make sure to plan out each outfit prior in order to NOT overpack. The last thing you need in a hotel room with three other girls is too many outfit options and no decision makers! We’ve all been there.   How do you plan for such a weekend?

The approach:

Approach a Bachelorette just like you will when your friend walks down the isle. There are events. Plan outfits for each and don’t second guess yourself. Don’t take options. You should know what the dress codes are for each of the planned festivities (and if you don’t someone is doing something wrong!)

On the Agenda?

For this particular girls’ weekend there were two types of plans – chill AF and party AF. On our agenda during the days? Pooltime and spa time. At night? Dinners, drinks and dancing.

What to pack?

The bag? For any, I actually mean any, weekend escape I swear by Hudson + Bleecker’s garment bag (now available in White). I pack it up and carry it on easier than a suitcase (I do not want to lug it up and down my third floor walk up.

Daytime? Pack no more than two swimsuits and only if you have space. An easy dress to toss on with sandals that can take you from brunch to the spa easily. Ready for the pool? If you’re dress isn’t as poolside chic, toss in a pair of cut offs and a cute top. These pieces need to be versatile and easy.

Partytime? There will most likely be a dress code asked by the girls planning this weekend so respect it. Get into the theme and have fun! My bride-to-be babe wanted her friends decked out in sequins all weekend. I loved both of these fun little sequin numbers from Parker NY (striped on sale now for $198 and this polka-dot beauty on sale for $220!)

How to pack?

Step 1: I always lay everything out on a made bed so that I can take account of what I have and what I may be missing.

Step 2: Hang both dresses on one hanger, if you have one more dress then attempt to add it onto that one hanger too. Hang ’em!

Step 3: Roll up your swimsuits, underwear and PJ’s, pack them at the bottom of the hanging bag.

Step 4: Zip that bag up!

Step 5: Pack your heels in the shoe compartment in the Hudson + Bleecker garment bag

Step 6: Lay your jewelry case and handbag on the inside of the hanging bag and zip the whole thing closed.

Simple. Easy. and Efficient.
