Apartment Upgrades with Desenio

Moving cross-country, during a global pandemic meant that I pretty much sold, donated or tossed the things in my Brooklyn apartment that were not really and truly my favorite pieces. What was left in terms of home décor after that purge? Not much at all. And most certainly no art work which Is why I’m thrilled to be taking you all on my journey to beautiful walls filled with paintings and pictures from Desenio

The ease of shopping on Desenio is unbelievable – for what is most certainly a daunting task, their website is incredibly user-friendly making it really easy to navigate the latest and art and design and there plethora of options! For me I wanted to mix art and photography in my rooms, Desenio has such a wide range of different types of work from all different artists, including photographic prints, classic black & white images, cool retro wall art, modern abstract art, illustrations, beautiful wall art for kids and much more. Literally so many options for every style, taste and budget.

I love that they have quite a bit of inspiration to help you assess what size you may need or how certain pieces are going to look together! This really helped when I was pulling together the different frame types that I wanted so that I could complete the room.  This large oversized print of a house in Morocco was $54.95 for the largest size (70x100cm) is my absolute favorite, it was the first print I gravitated towards when I decided on a color scheme. Framed it in this frame.

I opted for travel inspired imagery to create a calming space in my bedroom – the three framed pieces that now hang overhead make me so happy and always bring me to a memory from my travels and of course my happy place – the beach!

Everything arrives in a strong, sturdy protective packaging to ensure the pieces are kept in mint condition. The entire process from unpacking to putting together took about 15 minutes. So easy!

Then came the hard work, determining just how everything was going to be laid out!

The final result! Couldn’t be happier with the way the wall came together and really made the whole room!

Side note and PSA in general! The whole reason I wanted to bring Desenio into my apartment was because I knew I could decorate my space just how I wanted with really beautiful art work and not spend my entire bank account doing it. For the 4 prints and four frames I spent less than $300 – which when you’re decorating a space from scratch finding a beautiful budget friendly option is SO nice!

Stay tuned to see how my vanity space turns out – here’s a sneak peek of the Desenio piece that I’m putting in the area! It’s under $100 too with a frame.
