The Elevated Classics

Over the past few years I’ve started to create a wardrobe filled with timeless, classic pieces that have a slight edge to them. I like to think of them as the elevated classics. Building a solid foundation of the essential pieces has given me the ability to maximize my miniature sized NYC closet space and overall wardrobe. They’re typically investment pieces that I want to last.  My style is in one word undefined so I intersperse seasonal trend pieces with the classics to create my look.

The Elevated Classics:

This is a modern take on a classic wardrobe staple. I love the unexpected addition of the belted cropped inside, it’s so chic and allows you to stand out in a crowd of Burberry trenches!
A sleek black bag
Everyone should invest in a great structured leather bag. This particular one from Clare V. has the most buttery soft leather and is what I like to refer to as my ‘Mary Poppins’ bag because it holds the world without losing its shape. Crucial for me!
The Perfect LBH (little black heel
There is nothing more necessary for a wardrobe than a killer black heel. These Dior ones have a “I’ll kick your a$$” heel to them with a patent leather toe, just enough rocker to wear with a leather skirt or enough structure to wear with skinnies and a trench.
A grey sweater
Your wardrobe is not complete if you don’t have a lightweight heather grey sweater. This alpaca one from Zady literally goes with everything and has a relaxed fit to it so that it’s not too stiff!
