I often find myself shying away from traveling to cities I’ve frequented in the past, however when it comes to Paris and London all rules go out the window. These cities have captivated me each and every time in a way very few places have. As I prepare to embark on a three week European excursion with visits to both cities I find myself eager to swing by a few of my favorite spots but more excited to explore the unknown (or at least for me!)
First stop? Paris where I’ll be heading with Strong Travels and my fellow Texas blogger gal Brooke from One Small Blonde. I cannot wait to get back to Paris, it’s been five very long years since I’ve been visited. Little unknown fact is that I lived in France for a while!
We’ll be staying at the tres chic Peninsula Paris near the Champs-Élysées and visiting a number of hotels, restaurants, bars and of course sights! This trip is all about working to curate the ultimate Parisian experience to the city of love, which I will of course be sharing here afterwards and you’ll be able to book my exact trip through my work with Strong Travels. In addition to creating on a fabulous trip the Strong team will ensure you get special perks like upgrades, special dinner reservations, champagne welcomes, access to cool places (hello Chanel apartment! or a visit to the famed Hemingway Bar!) and so much more. Oh la la am I right?
From Paris I’ll be heading to over the pond to London where I’ll be joined by some dear friends for a bit of time and then by my mom for our annual mother daughter trip! More on that to come though. I’m elated to be heading back to London, the city is magical and I’ve often felt that it was calling my name to make a move over – I guess only time will tell if that happens! On this visit though we’re doing things a little differently than I did last year where I stayed in an adorable flat. No this visit is about pure flat out vacay!
BRING ON THE ACTUAL VACATION!!!
We’ll be staying in Mayfair at Rocco Forte’s Brown’s for part of the stay and at the Grosvenor Suites by Jumeirah for the last few days before we head to The Cotswolds for some serious R&R at The Thyme!
I’ll be ending my trip in Ireland, a country I’ve never had the chance to visit but have been wanting to go for a while now. With only 72 hours in the country it’ll be quick but just long enough according to the lovely team at the Fitz William hotel where we’ll be residing while in Dublin!
Needless to say, I am on a mission to find the best new spots, the hidden gems and a little bit of everything in between. Have recommendations? Leave them below.
