Dishing it up: Healthy Holiday Entertaining Recipes

Holiday Entertaining, Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, Design Sponge

The holidays are officially among us, I ventured up 5th Avenue this weekend to do a little shopping and sure enough, the windows are being prepped for the reveals, the Rockefeller Christmas tree has been delivered and is officially in the process of being decorated, Christmas music is playing at Saks and Tiffany’s has giant snowflakes spanning the facade of their flagship location. With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays comes the enjoyment of the holiday parties too! For me, it’s always about enjoying time with friends, noshing on great food and sipping on a cocktail or two. However, it’s always difficult to maintain a healthy diet during these times, every deep fried, bacon wrapped, cheese filled pastry type platter passes me by and it’s hard to say no but I am one to balance everything so I try to find healthier options as often as possible.

And lucky for you I’ve teamed up with Gardein, the plant based protein foodies who celebs like Carrie Underwood swear by, to share with you some of my favorite healthy holiday entertaining recipes so that you’re well prepared with a dish that will amaze your friends at that next party. Even better, incorporating more plant-based protein (yes, these are vegetarian options for all of my carnivores!) into your diet is incredibly beneficial to your health as they have less fat and no cholesterol, two things that spike during the harried holiday season.

I’ve pulled together four very different appetizer recipes to ensure there is one for whatever the next party menu calls for.

You can get the full recipes for all of these and all of their delicious dishes over at Gardein, download printable recipe cards here or check out my ‘Healthy Eating’ Pinterest board that has all of the recipes on there too!

I can’t wait to hear which one was your favorite! Share your favorite healthy, meatless holiday party recipes below!
