There are only a few rare experiences in ones life where you have the chance to say that you dined with 5,000 mostly random strangers on a pier overlooking the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan. This particular experience, Diner en Blanc, had been on my “NY bucket list” for a few years and was well worth the wait. I was invited on by the sweetest team at Apothic Wines, who aside from knowing their wine also know how to take one’s picnic to the next level! I joined my fellow blogging babes Jen of Skirt the Rules and Lauren of PR Blonde for one of the most epic NYC evenings I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in this incredible city.
The dress code? All white and not just your sunday best would do, this event called for brining out the big guns. So panic set it. I for one tend to steer clear of anything all white … I will inevitably get something on it within the first five seconds of having it on! So, when I received the invitation to attend Diner en Blanc, I had ordered and order outfit options all with no luck. Then the day before the event I recalled the new style app Style Lend that I had recently heard about. I went on the app, found this sleek Reiss jumpsuit for a rental fee of $45, ordered it and had it HAND DELIVERED to me at my office by 4:30 PM that day. To say my mind was blown would be an understatement. The jumpsuit arrived in a garment bag, hand written note and I got to keep it for a week. It’s like renting from a friend’s closet and you can bet that I’ll be renting out some of my pieces on there soon too so stay tuned!0
