An Impossibly Delicious Cocktail: Bandera de Puebla

Bandera de Puebla - Rob Krueger, Cocktails, What to Drink

I love a great cocktail and having the Texas roots that I do, I’m all about a smooth tequila too so it should come as no surprise that this marks the first of a few cocktail recipes that I’ll be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks bringing these two together!  Perfect timing too since summer entertaining season is officially in full swing and each of these gems are just the ticket to impressing your friends with your newly found mixologist skills.  The Bandera de Puebla, which was crafted by Rob Krueger of Extra Fancy in Brooklyn, is what I’d like to call a hot summer night’s refresher. The ingredients alone scream cool and refreshing. Whip this up for your next rooftop soiree or if you’re lucky enough to have one of those places called a pool, this pairs well with that as well!

Combine the Patrón Reposado, Citrónge Lime, Coconut & Lime Juice in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Gently pour the Pomegranate Juice so it settles to the bottom half of the drink creating two equal layers of white and red. Garnish with a sprig of mint to represent the three colors of the Mexican flag.

Cheers my friends!
