2015, the year of the leap

What if I FallBecause why the hell not  …

It’s astonishing how quickly 365 days can go by, that cliche saying ‘the days are long but the years are short” never ceases to amaze me at how true it really is. 365 days all in the rearview mirror and a new chapter just starting. A year ago on January 1st, 2014, I was on a plane back from Dallas with no idea where I would be in six months let alone an entire year from then. 2014 taught me a lot about myself and brought a lot of things into my life but most importantly it was those people in my life who came and who stayed that mattered most and for those friendships I am forever grateful. 2014 was the year of me, I took the time to spend time on me as selfish as that may sound but I did and I don’t regret one moment of this year. I’m not one to dive too far into my personal life here but this past year was a roller coaster to say the least and I am so grateful for the ride it took me on.

Now I have started 2015, this fresh chapter, exploring a gorgeous country {hello Thailand!} with dear friends, conquering fears and checking things off my growing bucket list. I can’t think of a better way to welcome a new year, the year that I’m already looking at as my year “of the leap.” While in Thailand, my dear friend kept reminding me that everything we did that was remotely questionable to me was a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity/chance/meal’, you name it and she managed to convince me to try it, sans fried cockroach. It was liberating, empowering and gave me one hell of an adrenaline rush I won’t lie but I left each thing without regret, I was so glad I gave them a shot and that’s what 2015 is going to be about. Taking the leap, living with no regrets and taking chances. I am so excited to see what this next year has in store for me, for this blog and of course for all of you.

Here’s to the little leaps of faith that are to come and to the happiness that those will bring this year!

Cheers to 2015,

A
